I just did not have the heart to cut my original gelli prints so I have scanned them all, yes all 79 I have made during my “test the gelatin printing” and “test the new gelliarts plate which arrived a couple of days ago” phase. But now they are saved forever and I can work with them without damaging anything.
Wow, and it was so much fun to recolor some of them, play with hue and saturation, contrasts and brightness.
I printed some of them on my favorite structured off white card stock. They printed like a charm and are looking great, perfect for making tags together with some butterfly and flower embellishments.
I die cut not only tags, but ovals and circles. The first time I tried triangle tags and I like them.
Have a great and sunny day!

Having children’s room decoration in my mind I started to create these letters. It was an in and out of the computer.
I started to print the outlines from this pretty font. Then I have drawn the black and white pattern on it by hand with a marker.
I scanned my drawings and added the pattern back on the computer. I added the eyes and printed the whole alphabet, then cut all the letters and added yarn, threads and wool as hair.
As always you may use this as an inspiration for your own projects (perfect to craft with kids).
Or you can order your custom names from my Etsy store. Please give me 2 days to set it up individually for you. I am offering the personalized names ready printed and cut or as digital download sheets to print and cut them yourself as often as you want.

Just some more prints I made on Sunday. I love the details of the red and blue prints. I have no clue how I made those funny drops. I just layered the stencils, rolled and rubbed …
Enjoy and be inspired!
So today I used my new stencils with the new made gelatin plate.
I think I am going to order the Gelli Arts plate next week. I saw it is available again.
My gelatin plate is full of color pigments now after 2 times usage. For my next session I definitely need a new one.
I got another stack of prints. There are not many I am really happy with today though. While printing I wished I had a redo button like on the computer, because I ruined a beautiful print with adding another layer and it has just not been a good choice, what a pity. I wished I had more control and I could repeat a print, but no way.
Here you can see some work in process pics and some results.
More pics I’ll show tomorrow….
Last week I designed some stencils I had in my mind for a long time and which I wanted to use with the gelatin plate.
I started with hand drawn sketches, scanned them and made cuttable Silhouette Studio files for my electronic cutter.
Yesterday I cut them all one after the other, the poor machine was running the whole day. I just used overhead film.
And today I used almost all of them. Now they are dirty, covered with paint and somehow looking like artworks itself.
This is the big advantage of making your own stencils: when they are ruined you just make new ones.
In my next post I am going to show some of my results.
