Ok, I admit it, I did not buy only one notebook, but a couple of them. I just love the square format. It is great to decorate them.
This time I made some fashion silhouettes in my favourite 3D program PoserPro, which I unearthed and upgraded lately to the newest version (see the image at the bottom of this post).
At the bottom you can also download the silhouettes file for non-commercial purposes from my dropbox. Have fun!
I was not able to remove the label from the notebook properly, so I cut and applied a circle from black vinyl to cover the ugly parts.
Then I prepared my silhouettes by coloring and arranging them in the color of the final vinyl on the screen in Silhouette Studio®.
Then I moved them to the right positions, that it fits the vinyl on the mat and cut the silhouettes in two rounds with the Silhouette Cameo.
For this project you can easily use left over stripes from other projects.
I weeded the silhouettes and applied them to the notebook with transfer tape.
Then I cut and added the word: Sketchbook and done.
This is how the Silhouettes were created:
the little figure was styled, dressed and posed in a 3D program called “PoserPro11”.
From the rendered images I created the black and white silhouettes.
You may download and use the silhouettes for non-commercial purposes here:
Last week I packed some sets of printable holiday and christmas papers, but also with neutral winter motifs I created.
Again I used some doodles I made with the spirograph and of course snow flakes, stars and christmas trees…
There are just so handy coming in a ready to print size as pdf for crafting, die cutting and electronic cutting of cards, tags and ornaments.
Have fun and have a great sunny weekend!
Today I tried out Inkscape.
After a bit a complicated installation on my Mac it worked well and I must say: It is a very cool program. You can make svg cutting files with it. This is what I wanted to try. I gave myself a little task, making a gothic mini paper top hat.
I even made it to make it just as non-symmetrical as I had it in my mind and including the bow parts which I kept together with a brad in the end.
And here you see the result.
Last week I’ve been desperately searching for attractive paper/ card stock for die cutting. It was so disappointing. All the big artist supplies shops in our city are closed and the one I found had unpayable prices. So I just got some solid color flat heavy paper and used the (again rainy) weekend for scanning, designing and assembling, digital stamping, embossing and this is what I came up with. Not all sets (8) are uploaded to Etsy yet, but coming within the next days. Papers are 8.5 x 11′ pdfs, just right to be printed. This link leads you to the papers category:
