After a bit of a hard time the past 3 weeks I treated myself with the lovely stamp set from Stampers Anonymous by Tim Holtz. I was extremely happy, that I got them at all in Germany, where we get all new things 1 year later usually.
So just before the weekend I got my little package and started directly stamping and painting. I also got back my good mood directly. I am not much of a stamper, but these little character birds are just too cute and funny and it was so relaxing to sit in the sun messing around with color.
Tracing and cutting with my Cameo worked very well with PixScan. Then today I made some cards for next weeks birthdays, a mix of Cameo-cut words, parts of my own collage sheets and die cut elements out of my Bigshot. Now my workshop is a mess! So I start the new week with tidying up…
Maybe they are a little bit very sweet and soft, but it is ice cream weather here, yeah…
The tea cups I made myself from scratch with the Silhouette Cameo. The top cup is loose from the back ground so it bends easily and I fixed it with a little thread to work like a pop up card.
The paper doilies are cutting files I bought from the silhouette online shop.
The embossing folder is from Sizzix. I LOVE the ornamental pattern with border.
And I know my girl friends will love those cards.
Have a great and sunny day!
Before it is given away tomorrow I made a pic of my end of summer birthday card for a dear friend tomorrow. It reflects the early autumn sun, the beginning recoloring of the leaves, but still there are colorful flowers blooming everywhere in the garden.
The background layer is made from an own printed paper (mot yet released, but coming soon) the butterfly is from my butterflies collage sheet and various dies from sizzix, spellbinders and die-version, where I just got the official permission to use the dies in my products for sale, hurray….
Have a great week!
Today it’s been raining cats and dogs. This was not what I expected, so I started with sorting my work space, a drawer of old postcards, then I created a big mess again, but I am quite happy with the results:
3 personalized birthday cards I need next week for friends.
I found 2 beautiful but shabby looking advertising folders from very thick striped matte card stock. Glad I kept them years ago! After finding the right sandwich for my die cutting machine they came out beautifully by using the big stamp die cut from Tim Holtz. I printed some black and white stripes on glossy photo paper and tried a brand new mirror card stock and the victorian frames. In real they look much more beautiful than on the picture. The top card has got a kind of booklet, because I had to say more than I could pack on the front. I just fixed the little pages with a metal brad.
The two other cards had to be fashion related, so I used my little dress die cuts and the new handbag dies.
Maybe you get some inspirations for your own cards.
Have fun and enjoy the weekend!
