Now it’s the time again to through out the little seeds in little pots and watch it growing. I LOVE this. I still find it a miracle how nature is awaking in spring and seeding for me means health, wealth and fun.
Tired of the ugly white plastic sticks I usually used I took the time to design my own labels. This way you can make as many as you need. They are done quickly on a sunny afternoon, just print, cut and glue them around a tooth picks or skewers. They look pretty if you give away some seedlings as gifts.

Many birthdays this month, so I started to paint, print and punch today to make some new cards.
A great chance to try out my new dies I had ordered lately. I just couldn’t resist to get 2 new BigZ dies from Tim Holtz at the big Sizzix sale and some little thin dies, which are great to use for all the scraps from the electronic cutter like the grass fringes.
The funny parasols are on a collage sheet I did not release yet. It will come to my shops soon.
It was fun to play around. This card is my favorite of todays creations, a total senseless telephone in the grass. Sometimes you just have to do stupid things and call it art. I used some printable papers from Joyful Heart Designs for the telephone die cuts and the lovely flower back ground. They are printing beautifully and the grundy and retro look is great for my telephones.
Joyful Heart Designs
After one week of wonderful spring weather winter is back here with low temperatures, heavy clouds and much wind.
So I am going to decorate our home tomorrow with colorful paper flowers I have been drawing, coloring and cutting during the past weeks from scratch, first the outlines, then filled with pattern and over layed with another hand drawn thick lines pattern.
After years of doing computer graphics I really love to sit with markers, paint and real papers recently.
Anyway scanning and combining the drawings and paintings gives great effects and my new Epson Expression Photo Printer makes just perfect prints and big size, too.
And I can keep my originals untouched.
Just be inspired and make your own. It is not that difficult.
Or go get the flowers as collage sheets from my Etsy shop
Last week I needed a special “get well” card for an ill friend. I thought it must be more than just a card and it has to be spring themed. I still had some unused cutting files from the Silhouette online store in my library and I had a brand new Epson A3 photo printer (my early birthday gift, such a cool machine…) here, not yet tested.
So I started with a 3D star booklet and cut the parts on my Silhouette Cameo in heavy white paper and grey card stock.
Then I printed some big sheets with fresh stripes and recut the middle parts.
For cover and backside I used test prints from one of my gelli prints.
It was quite a bit fiddling to get all the parts assembled and I found help on the designer, Jamie Lane’s blog, from whom I had the cutting file: http://jamielanedesigns.blogspot.de/2013/11/star-mini-albums.html
Then I filled one of the finished booklets with embellishments, scraps and some hand written text. The other I kept blanc for later use. Now my spring booklet is almost a pop up album and the gift was a big success.
And this is it:
If you like gardening, flowers, but also paper crafting and gift packing this is for you!
Lovely colorful style sheets to print out yourself on your home printer and cut them into craft supplies like gift tags, hangers, stickers, embellishments….
